Rain, low temps helping with drought

Missing teens found safe; Tomlin in Tennessee and Redmond in Texas

Two missing Habersham County teens were both safely located Friday and will soon be returning home. Both of the teens had been reported as runaways. Mays Arthur Tomlin, 16, of Mt. Airy, was located in the outskirts of the Nashville, Tennessee area, according to Sgt.

Cornelia approves 2020 proposed budget, 10% occupational tax increase

The Cornelia City Commission approved the proposed budget for 2020 and a proposed occupational tax increase of 10% at its regular monthly meeting Tuesday, Nov. 5, after public hearings. Cornelia City Manager Donald Anderson said the occupational tax had not been increased in over five years.
