Georgia’s officials accept $106.8M contract for new voting machines

The Georgia Secretary of State’s Office (SOS) has selected Dominion Voting Systems Inc. to replace the state’s 17-year-old electronic voting machines with a fixed contract amount of $106,842,590.80, according to the notice of intent to award.

Georgia PSC clears Tim Boling of allegations, closes case

A letter from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC) recently emerged on social media, which states it found “no probable cause to take disciplinary action” against former Habersham Central High School (HCHS) agriculture teacher Tim Boling and that it closed his case.

Nichols resigns

The Habersham County Commission is down a member after its regular meeting Monday. Ed Nichols, a longtime commissioner for the past seven years, tendered his resignation, effective that evening, to the commission following regular business during the additional comments portion of the meeting.

UNDER CONTRACT

Habersham County may soon find its old courthouse has just been a diamond in the rough. At its regular monthly meeting Monday, the Habersham County Commission entered into an agreement to sell the building to Wayne Enterprises South LLC for $1 million.
