A private family graveside service for Grace S. Karnes, 92, of Mt. Airy, was held Sunday, June 7, at Chopped Oak Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Karnes officiating.

There will be a memorial service for Chris "Squeaky" Milton Blalock, 67, of Mooresboro, North Carolina, held later in Georgia.

A private memorial graveside service for Ivy Hinds Clemons, 97, of Clarkesville, formerly of Cullman, Alabama, will be held at the Cullman City Cemetery in Cullman, Alabama.

A private family service for Aileen Pardue Ray, 96, of Clarkesville, is being held. 

Mrs. Ray passed away Tuesday June 2, 2020.

Merna Jane Gilkey Martin, 90, departed us May 27, 2020, in Clarkesville, after having lived a long and fulfilling life filled with family, friends, and communion with God.  

Regular funeral services for Mrs. Sylvia B. Palmer, 85, of Habersham County, will be postponed until a later date.  Later, we plan to have a party of which she would approve.

A graveside service for Agnes Marie Davis Moore, 80, of Mt. Airy, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Trent Smith officiating.

Eloisa Sixtos, 61, of Cherán, Michoacán, Mexico, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020. She was a resident of Habersham county for 25 years. Eloisa was laid to rest in her hometown.

Jean Olmsted, 87, of Clarkesville, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Private graveside services will be held at Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Tommie Leroy Sorrow, 63, of Baldwin, gained his wings on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 following a sudden illness. Private graveside services will be held at the B.C. Grant Baptist Church Cemetery.
