Cornelia to monitor bridge usage

Before the Tuesday meeting, City of Cornelia officials met with Connor Land, a field representative for U.S. Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.) to discuss the future of the Hoyt Street bridge. The bridge remains closed to car traffic, but is open for foot traffic.

Samantha Burnett has been helping kids her whole adult life. Starting Friday, she officially gets to call herself their teacher.

A vandal defaced Habersham County’s sign at the administration building in Clarkesville with profanity, expressing dismay with increased taxes and with a particular county commissioner.

Tallulah Falls buys drones for Habersham, Rabun counties

The Tallulah Falls Police Department is looking forward to two new drones coming in to support not just their precinct, but both Habersham and Rabun Counties. The drones are capable of many things, but in Tallulah Falls they will specifically be used for rescue missions inside Tallulah Gorge.
