Delicious time for a festival

The City of Cornelia is preparing for its most anticipated event of the year – The Big Red Apple Festival, which will be celebrating its 34th year on Saturday. The festival is gearing up to be bigger and better than last year’s celebration, which drew in more than 4,000 people.

A new business is opening up in downtown Cornelia, curating a space designed for moms, giving them access to a selection of high-end resale clothing options for children without the high price tags or guilt.

Clarkesville BSA Troop No. 5 member Mitchell McGahee has completed the restoration of a grave at the Old Clarkesville Cemetery. The Eagle Scout project for McGahee has aided the mission of the cemetery to restore and preserve this historic landmark.
