Kids On Wheels event returns June 18

The Kids on Wheels free event will return to Clarkesville on Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Clarkesville Police Station. There will be all kinds of fun vehicles in which kids can cruise the show, or they can bring their own set of wheels.

Dec-A-Ducks keep taking it up a notch

One of the most popular booths at the Mountain Laurel Festival on May 21 was Volunteers for Literacy’s Dec-a-Ducks. Hundreds viewed the 35 decorated ducks, marveled at the creativity, and voted for their favorite to win the People’s Choice Award.

ICAC unit nabs two more arrests

Two Habersham County men were arrested in the last four days through the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force.
Deputies served search warrants Tuesday afternoon at the home of Christopher Lee Webb, 40, of Clarkesville.
