Community turns out to clean up Baldwin streets

The City of Baldwin and its residents took to the streets in droves Saturday afternoon to gather and dispose of garbage littered along the roadsides during its annual Clean Up Day event.

Baldwin Town Hall Meeting 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, Baldwin City Council will host a town hall meeting about the budget at Life Church at 110 Church Street.

Wall of Honor additions nearly done

New spots are now available to honor those from Habersham County who have served their country at the Habersham County Wall of Honor’s fifth and final wall is almost fully completed, with attention turning over to landscaping.

Demorest plans to move its city hall out of the middle of town after purchasing the old elementary school building on Alabama Street.

One of the longest-staying dogs at the Habersham County Animal Shelter flew private as he made his way out of Habersham County on Sunday and got a second chance at a home. Grado, a high-energy, friendly mixed dog, had been looking for a home since his arrival at the shelter on Nov.
