Wolf Creek BBQ returns in new Clarkesville location

   Wolf Creek BBQ is back in business four months after a fire destroyed its former building in Cornelia.    Owner Mike Roberson said the restaurant sold its first meal out of the new location at the old Ingles Shopping Center in Clarkesville on Feb. 3.

Lady Raiders clinch No. 2 seed, spot in playoffs

   With a dominant 51-34 win over Winder-Barrow on Tuesday, the Habersham Central Lady Raiders will head into the upcoming Region 8-6A tournament as the No. 2 seed, which guarantees them a first round bye and a spot in the state playoffs.

   Habersham Central’s boys soccer team did not have to be told the importance of Tuesday night’s opener against Gainesville.    The Raiders jumped out to an early lead against the Red Elephants and held on through a furious final 30 minutes for a 2-1, season-opening victory at Raider Stadium.
