After six days of wondering, former Demorest Police Chief Robin Krockum has received his separation notice regarding his unexpected termination Thursday, April 16.
The document provided by Krockum states the reason for separation was regarding performance issues.

Habersham County native Lana Jones was picked Monday night as the new principal at Woodville Elementary, starting July 1.
Jones will replace outgoing Principal Dr. Susan Davis, who is taking over the same role at Level Grove Elementary.

Commissioner calls out hospital leadership as bond agreement finalized

The bond agreement between Habersham County and the Hospital Authority was not finalized Monday with a deadline looming as commissioners questioned the wording of the document.
That agreement will lay out the parameters by which Habersham Medical Center can draw on a maximum of $5.
