National Census Day April 1, 2020, is five months away, and the Habersham County Census 2020 Complete Count Committee (CCC) has been meeting multiple times this year to come up with different ways to promote it and increase participation. It held its last meeting of the year Nov. 7.

Rain, low temps helping with drought

Although parts of Georgia are no longer experiencing drought, the Environmental Protection Division (EPD) has not lifted the Level 1 Drought Response in Habersham County.  The EPD declared a statewide Level 1 Drought Response on Oct. 18.
