Fire chief: Baldwin’s ISO rating improved from 4 to 3

Baldwin Fire Chief Joe Roy recently reported to the Baldwin City Council that the city’s ISO (Insurance Services Office) Public Protection Classification (PPC) has improved from a 4 to a 3. The information was shared Monday at the council’s second regular meeting of the month.

Habitat for Humanity dedicates 71st home

Habitat for Humanity of Northeast Georgia dedicated its 71st house Sunday, July 21, to the Rodriquez family in Cornelia. Over 75 people attended the dedication celebration to welcome the family into their new home.

Jarvis Van Buren leaves behind legacy in city of Clarkesville

Clarkesville resident John Lunsford recently got his hands on copies of some detailed painting of apples given to him by Frank Tufts, a family friend. These apples painted by renaissance man Jarvis Van Buren tell only a small portion of the impact he made on the city of Clarkesville.
