TFS launches academic year with 545 students

Students filled the newly waxed corridors at Tallulah Falls School, abuzz with the excitement that a new academic year brings to a school community.  With the launch of the 2019-20 academic year on Aug.
Habersham County Schools, along with the thousands of students who attend them, returned to “class as usual” Wednesday, Aug. 7. Shown is Clarkesville Elementary School kindergarten teacher Kristi Thurmond explaining classroom conduct to her students the morning of the first day of school. Prior to the first day, students and their parents/guardians turned out for open houses earlier this week. For additional back-to-school photos, see Page 6A, this edition.
