Habersham Central students have again been recognized by the College Board for outstanding performance on Advanced Placement (AP) Exams.
For the 2021-22 academic year, Habersham County Schools offered 18 AP courses – 14 face-to-face and 4 through Georgia Virtual School.

Huggins was born and raised in Batesville, where she currently lives. She has a love for the outdoors and calls herself a “tomboy that never grew up.”

Carrie Bennett was pulling into her driveway just past Tallulah Falls when she saw the blaze. Her family’s home, built more than half-a-century ago, was engulfed in flames eating through the exterior and reaching up toward the night sky.

Missing gun still lost in the woods

A gun lost by a Habersham County Sheriff’s deputy July 4 is still missing.
Deputy Dakota Nguyen was unable to produce his backup 9mm Glock for inspection that day, and he searched every inch of his patrol car looking for it, according to a sheriff’s report.
