Funeral services for Joyce Dee Fisher Free, 79, of the Stonepile Community, Clarkesville, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Rev.

Graveside services for Emma Roberts Turner, 88, of Clarkesville, will be held Saturday Jan. 16, at Clarkesville City Cemetery with Dr. Kenneth Franklin officiating.  

Funeral services for Kathy Diane Parker Boswell, 66, of Cornelia, were held Saturday, Jan. 9, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with the Rev. Kathy Nicholson officiating.

In consideration of public health and safety, private services will be held for Courtney Anne Cash, 42, of Demorest.

A memorial service for R. Lawrence "Larry" Williams will be held at a later date.

    Mr. Williams died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, at the age of 75.

Funeral services for Myrtle Mae Nation Smith, 86, of Demorest, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at Hillside Memorial Chapel. 

Mrs. Smith passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021. 

Louise Jackson Maxwell, 83, of Clermont, passed away Friday, Jan. 8, 2021. Graveside services were held Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Living Mission United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Douglas M. Gulley, 77, of Alto, passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, following a brief illness. Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

Robert William “Bob” Rice Jr., 72, of Cornelia, passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021. Military graveside services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at the V.F.W.

Homer Shockley, 81, of Lula, passed away peacefully Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at his home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.
