With the recent resignation of County Commissioner Jimmy Tench and County Commissioner Dustin Mealor announcing last month that he does not intend to run for reelection, we are guaranteed to have two new faces on the Habersham County Board of Commissioners next year.

A vision for the old courthouse property in Clarkesville is a boutique hotel. Last month, the Clarkesville City Council decided to get a better focus on that decision by agreeing to pay  Horwath HTL $15,000 for a downtown hotel feasibility study.
