Graduation is one of life’s major milestones. It’s a tradition just about everyone can share a memory from, whether high school or college, and compare.
Heller should apologize

Joe Heller should apologize to the families of victims of the 21 million illegal alien criminals ushered in by the Biden administration. He might start with Laken Riley’s family. Woodstock, Ga. is not that far away.
In the evenings when we make it home before dark, spending time in the backyard during the waning sunlight of dusk-thirty is my favorite place to be. The white oaks, red oaks, American holly and tulip poplar trees are filled with song this time of year.
We don’t think we’ve ever been more full of joy to see a local landmark torn down.
The old courthouse eyesore in downtown Clarkesville is finally going.
A great nation

The United States of America is a great world leader in policy making, one of the wealthiest countries, beautiful natural resources, freedom of speech and many other freedoms. People from all over the world want to visit the USA.
It’s hard to believe.
A month from today is Habersham Central High School’s graduation, and my Cal will be among those walking across the stage to be handed his diploma.
With the natural beauty and peace of our area, it should be no surprise that the wedding industry is big here. Many weddings take place each year in Northeast Georgia, with the couples and their guests contributing thousands to our economy.

For the past couple of weeks, we’ve been highlighting in our sports section the outstanding athletes selected for this year’s Ring of Honor class.
The Ring of Honor is Habersham County’s Football Hall of Fame that annually recognizes former athletes for their accomplishments.
