   Habersham Central’s boys saw their 11-game win streak run out of road as the Raiders fell to Shiloh, 77-59, on Wednesday night.    Once trailing by nine, the Generals (10-3) opened the floodgates coming out of halftime thanks in large part to guard Jullien Cole, who had a monster second half.

   The Habersham Central boys closed out a perfect month of December by passing perhaps its toughest test to date. Behind yet another solid backcourt performance, the Raiders took out Athens Academy, 58-48 to extend its win streak to 11 games.

   It was an exciting year in Habersham Central sports in 2023.    The Gainesville Red Elephants have had their way with the Raiders on the gridiron in recent years.
VIKING RAIDERS - Habersham Central’s boys wrestling team brought home four medals from the Viking Christmas Clash, including Justin Whitney (1st), Eli Thornton (2nd), Westin Lakey (2nd) and Ryan McDonald (3rd). The Raiders missed four weight classes and still finished fourth out of 12 teams. SUBMITTED

   Habersham Central’s boys basketball team extended its winning streak to seven games on Tuesday, riding big performances from guards Enzo Combs and Brannon Gaines to a 61-41 victory at Cedar Shoals (Athens).    Combs dropped 19 points while adding 5 steals and 4 rebounds.

   Just days after securing its first win in program history, Habersham Central’s Lady Raider wrestling team earned its first piece of hardware – leaving with the runner-up trophy from last Saturday’s Arrowhead Classic.    Stephens County High School hosted the 14-team girls tournament.
