Lady Indians ride to new heights

By Landen ToddThe best senior class of all time for the Tallulah Falls girls tennis program was what helped lead them to a program first in a State Runner-Up finish. Five Lady Indians dominated the record books and opponents alike throughout the spring, carving out an unforgettable season.

Raiders wreck Lions in spring scrimmage

By Landen ToddHabersham Central already looked strong after wrecking the Lions during its scrimmage at Raider Stadium on Friday, May 15. The Raiders reached 40 points by the end of the third quarter, while the Lions had only one field goal.

Lady Raiders make ready for state championship

By Landen ToddThe Habersham Central girls’ golf team has been preparing for the state championship after taking home the Area Championship on April 20. The Lady Raiders will battle it out in 36 holes at Jekyll Island against 11 other teams for the state championship on May 18-19.

Indians move on to Elite 8

By Landen ToddThe Tallulah Falls boys soccer team (16-1) held on for a 4-3 win against the Trojans (5-8) in the GIAA state playoffs at Amick Field on Friday, May 8. TFS has won 16 straight.The Indians were in control, holding a 4-0 lead with 20 minutes left in the match.
Senior Meg LaBarbera was named first team and Midfielder of the Year, Senior Eden Turner earned first team, senior goal keeper Kelsie Campbell was named second team and junior Madi Wilbanks made second team all-region.

Four Lady Raiders earn All-Region Awards

Raiders amazing run comes to an end

By Landen ToddThe War Eagles swept the Habersham Central baseball team in the 5A state playoffs at Woodward Academy on Friday, May 1. The Raiders finished the season with a 23-11 overall record and made a third consecutive Sweet 16 appearance.

Lady Raiders place fifth in region

By Landen ToddThe Habersham Central track team traveled to Loganville High School to compete in the region track meet on  Thursday, April 23. The girls finished fifth overall while the boys finished sixth.“I think we did well overall at Regions,” HCHS Track and Field Head Coach Jonathan Long said.

Raiders place fourth in area tournament

By Landen ToddThe Habersham Central boys golf team came in fourth in the area tournament  at the Apple Mountain Golf Course on Tuesday, April 21. The Raiders scored 310 overall right behind the third place Rome with a score of 306.Loganville took home the trophy scoring 294 overall.

Lady Raiders are Area Champions
