TFS track third at Stephens County Tallulah Falls’ varsity track teams went to Stephens County for a Monday meet. Both the boys and girls placed third among five schools. Sofia Rueda set a pair of personal records in the hurdle events, winning the 300 meter hurdles.

Reward up to $10K for information on arson

State and local investigators have determined a Monday night fire on Burning Bush Drive outside Alto was intentionally set. The call, located in an unincorporated area of Habersham County outside the Baldwin and Alto city limits, was dispatched at 6:08 p.m.

Raiders named Georgia Scholars

On top of being the STAR Student and Valedictorian for HCHS, Hayden Hulsey and Emily Irvin can add another title to their resume – Georgia Scholar. Being a Georgia Scholar is no easy task, as there is a list of eight criteria students have to accomplish even to be considered.

T1L1 fetes students’ Success

Amongst other programs offered by the HUB of Habersham, Teach One to Lead One is making an impact on the community. Teach One to Lead One is “a community mentoring program that teaches Universal Principles to lead students into a life of purpose and potential,” according to HUB’s website.

Auction for movie memorabilia

Habersham Community Theater is auctioning off authentic items from the Chronicles of Narnia movies, this includes “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe,” “Prince Caspian” and “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.” The items have been authenticated by Disney.

Green put faith in God, teammates

Many young people, particularly in the south, grow up with an affinity for certain sports teams. For Clarksville native Chase Green, support of Habersham Central Football came naturally. “I loved watching those guys play on Friday when I was growing up,” Green said.

Raiders eye ‘big opportunity’ in road playoff match tonight

Sports fans see it often – teams get hot at the right time. The Habersham Central boys soccer team exemplifies the expression quite accurately. There was a point, even in the later portion, that the Raiders’ season was all but swirling down the drain. Then they got hot.

TFS tennis teams sweep region titles

For the first time in decades, a Tallulah Falls tennis team has claimed a Region Championship. Both the Lady Indians and Indians defeated Rabun County on Wednesday to earn the Region 8-A DI titles. For the Indians, it marked the first region title since 1977, spanning 46 years.
