Habersham senior Wilson paces two-way attack for Raiders

   Football pundits say the most important drive of a close game is often the opening possession of the second half.    Last Friday night, the Raiders came out of a long halftime that featured two band performances to a seven-point lead over Apalachee.

Raiders bounce back, shut down Apalachee

   Habersham Central contained Apalachee’s wing-T pistol Friday, winning 27-7 over the Wildcats in a bounce-back performance.

Prince wins quadrathalon again

Tallulah Falls held the 16th Annual Cross Country Quadrathalon Tuesday, with senior Evan Prince beating last year’s mark to win for the third time in a row. About a mile north of the school on 441, the event took place at Tallulah Gorge, with the beach being beside the lake.

Lady Raiders split in home tri-match

Habersham Central took one of two in their home doubleheader Tuesday. In the first match, they defeated Lumpkin County (3-6) 25-13, 19-17, after falling in the first set 16-25. In the second match, the third in the tri-match series, they lost to Gainesville (6-5) 21-25, 14-25.

Lady Raiders outslug Winder for region win

Habersham Central softball won their region opener 8-6 at Winder-Barrow on the road Tuesday. “It’s great to get out on a win, especially against these people,” Raiders coach Bill Bradley said. “This is a good bunch.

Raider defense eyes Apalachee

Habersham Central plays its home opener Friday, needing to be physical yet disciplined against an old region foe’s misdirection. “I think a team like Apalachee, if you’re hesitant at all, then they can make you look silly,” Raiders coach Benji Harrison said.

Habersham native Kinsey going all in for NFL dream

Raider runners get lift from freshman twins

Habersham Central cross country coach Rabun Kimzey finished his debut with twin freshman sisters leading the way at the NEGA Championships in Athens Saturday. “For the athletes there, it’s a good experience because we’ve just been running with each other,” said the former Georgia track athlete.
