Raiders hoops teams open up 2021 season

Both the Habersham Central boys and girls teams lost their first game of the season Tuesday night on the road against Union County. The boys dropped their game by a 58-50 score, and the Lady Raiders lost 49-61. The home opener for both teams is this Friday, Nov. 19, against Banks County.

Raiders fall in surprise shootout

So much for the defensive battle.
Habersham Central and Shiloh both moved the ball on each other far more than was expected Friday night, but the Generals made a few more big plays to pull out a 43-28 win at Raider Stadium.

Bradley stepping down as softball coach

After five years as the head coach of the Lady Raiders softball team, Bill Bradley is stepping down.
Bradley – who is also the head coach of the girls basketball team at Habersham Central – cited his age and his other head coaching role with the school as his reasons for resigning.

TFS boys, girls run to 13th in state

On a challenging course in Carrollton on Saturday morning, the Tallulah Falls cross country teams outperformed their respective predicted finishes at the state meet. Going into the season finale, the girls were picked to finish 18th and the boys 14th among 1A Private schools.

Raiders hope it’s their Knight

Last season, Habersham Central’s football team blew Central Gwinnett out by 48 points on a Tuesday night.
When they meet again Friday in Lawrenceville, they are expecting the Black Knights to put up a lot more fight.
“They’re much improved,” Raiders coach Benji Harrison said.
