Raiders basketball back in action in new year

   Habersham Central's basketball teams swept Lanier in the region home opener Tuesday to get off to a good start in the new year.    The Lady Raiders pulled out a 46-40 win, while the boys improved to 2-0 in region with a 74-68 win.

Tallulah Falls’ boys basketball team is off to a strong start after a 58-49 win over Stephens County on Tuesday night in Toccoa. TFS juniors Anfernee Hanna dropped 20 points and Devonte Allen collected 19 for the Indians (2-0), who defeated their mascot brethren on their own floor.

TFS middle school hoops teams split with White Creek Christian

On Tuesday evening, Tallulah Falls played host to White Creek Christian. The Lady Indians middle school team, as well as the Indians B-Team, earned a split as the boys won and the girls fell in what marked their season-opener.
