Seven athletes from Habersham County make Blitz Hall of Fame

Blitz announced its sixth Hall of Fame class last week, with seven of the 44 inductees being from Habersham County.  After Blitz nominates a certain number of well-known athletes for induction, it then allows the public to nominate other athletes they feel deserving of Hall of Fame recognition.
Collin Kelly received statewide recognition as Georgia’s Positive Athlete Award recipient for cross country. Positive Athlete gives the award yearly to athletes who have overcome difficult circumstances, given back to their schools and communities, or have infectious, positive attitudes. Georgia announced its Positive Athlete statewide award winners last week, and Tallulah Falls School’s Collin Kelly received statewide recognition for his ability to see the light in adverse situations both on and off the field.

Habersham County sent two teams to the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association (GRPA) District 7 Tournament last weekend and walked away with third and fourth-place finishes.
