Tallulah Falls makes history with first state playoff berth

After just four region wins in the previous four years – with only one game played last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic – Tallulah Falls School’s baseball team made several historic achievements for its program this year.

TFS golfers add another mark in record books

Tallulah Falls’ girls golf team turned in a phenomenal showing at The Warriors Spring Swing on Saturday, finishing seventh in the 28-team field.  Brinson Hall had a record-breaking day to lead the team, resetting TFS’ nine-hole record with a 34 and the 18-hole record with a 72.

Zavala keeps family legacy alive

When the final horn sounded signaling the end of Raider senior Angel Zavala’s final game in Raider Stadium, it signaled the end of an era in the Raider men’s soccer program.

TFS soccer teams fall in playoff debuts

A historic season came to an end for Tallulah Falls’ girls soccer program Tuesday night, as they were blanked by Atlanta International School (AIS) 10-0 in the first round of the state playoffs.

All in the family - Lance Black is 7th among his clan in Ring of Honor

   Lance Black grew up with Raider football, and his family is quite familiar with Habersham tradition.    He recently became the seventh member of the Black family to be selected for the Habersham Central Football Ring of Honor.

Raiders drop another close one to Lanier

   Habersham Central’s baseball team dropped another nailbiter Wednesday, as they were edged by Lanier 3-2 in an extra-innings thriller.     “Wednesday’s loss at Lanier was a definitely a tough pill to swallow,” Raiders head coach Chris Akridge said.

TFS falls in shootout

   Tallulah Falls groundskeepers might be looking for new bases to replace the well-worn bags used in the Indians’ 12-9 loss to region rival Athens Christian School Tuesday night.

TFS set for state playoffs

After two matches last week, both Tallulah Falls soccer teams are set for the postseason. The Lady Indians picked up two victories to close the week, with the biggest coming in a 3-2 result against George Walton in overtime Friday that secured the No. 2 seed from Region 8-A Private.

Raiders kick Warriors on senior night

The Raiders soccer team sent its seniors out in style last Thursday night, as they notched a 4-1 victory over non-region rival White County on senior night.  “Tonight was just fun, and it was a great atmosphere here tonight,” said Raider head coach Ric Wallace.
