Raiders moving on after Buford series

   After a rainout last Wednesday, the Raider baseball team dropped both games of a Friday night doubleheader with Buford 10-1 and 13-0.     “To me, playing a three game series against a great team like Buford gives me more confidence going forward into the rest of the season.

Tallulah Falls completes sweep of Loganville Christian

   Tallulah Falls’ baseball team got its region play off to a tremendous start Friday, sweeping the opening series from Loganville Christian Academy.    That included a doubleheader sweep Friday at home, as the Indians won 6-3 and 10-1.

Raiders, Indians play ball on Tuesday night

   Tallulah Falls split a doubleheader with George Walton on Tuesday night, taking the opener 2-0 but falling 8-6 in the nightcap for their first region loss.    The Indians (9-4, 4-1) got a four-hit shutout in the opener from Aubrey Huggins, who also struck out nine batters.

   The Raider baseball team has gotten off to a hot start in the 2021 season, but things for the team haven’t looked the way many thought they would coming into the year.

Raiders complete sweep of Central Gwinnett

   Habersham Central’s baseball team completed a sweep of Central Gwinnett Thursday night with a 9-2 victory.     “Region wins are big. Series wins are really big, and to sweep a series is huge,” said Raiders head coach Chris Akridge. “It’s hard to beat any team three times.

Raiders soccer teams flip scripts with Dacula

   Habersham Central’s girls soccer team has eyes on making a move in the Region 8-6A standings.    The Lady Raiders downed Dacula 2-0 on Friday night to avenge a previous loss, but more importantly, they earned the tiebreaker over the Falcons should it be needed.

   Pierce Vickery came to Habersham Central High School with a goal of winning a state championship of some kind before he graduates. With last spring’s sports canceled, the senior was running out of time.
