Raiders take silver at Lakeside

Saturday was a banner day for the Habersham Central High School Wrestling team as the Raiders captured a second-place finish at the Lakeside Panther Invitational, hosted by Lakeside High School in Augusta.

Raiders honor seniors, alumni

Despite the outcomes of their games, the Habersham Central High School girls’ and boys’ basketball teams had a lot to celebrate Friday night as they honored senior players and former alumni as part of Senior Night and 50 Years of Habersham Central festivities.

The Habersham Central High School Swim team enjoyed a big Saturday over the weekend as they competed in the North Georgia Regional Championships in Dalton, where they came away with a combined fifth-place finish.

Indians continue streaking

The Tallulah Falls School (TFS) Lady Indians ran their win streak to three-consecutive games Tuesday with a 51-39 victory over the visiting Prince Avenue Christian School Lady Wolverines in Tallulah Falls. “It probably wasn’t our best game of the season, but I’m pleased,” said coach Brandy Corbett.

A trio of dynamic performances propelled the Habersham Central High School Lady Raiders past the visiting Gainesville High School Lady Red Elephants 73-47 Friday night in Mt. Airy, headlined by the triple-double recorded by Addie Penick.
