   Jeremy Stille has been tapped to lead Tallulah Falls School’s soccer program into a new era, as the Indians are moving into Georgia High School Association competition for the spring season in 2021.

Habersham County Little League still hopes to play

   Any fan of old baseball movies remembers the crowd chanting “Let Them Play!” in “Bad News Bears: Breaking Training.”    That same chant is going on in the heads of many in the community as hopes for playing Little League Baseball are still flickering amid the COVID-19 shutdown.

Tallulah Falls senior signs to play baseball at Brevard College

   Tallulah Falls School senior Davis Jennings of Clarkesville on April 2 signed a letter of intent to compete in baseball for the Brevard College Tornados in Brevard, N.C.     “We are very excited to have Davis as a Tornado,” said Brevard College baseball coach Mike Victory.

Athletes stay sharp, hope to play

   School buildings are tentatively still closed only until March 31, but the prevailing sentiment is that they could be closed longer.    Still, hope flickers that somehow, some way, spring sports can still happen.

Penick's goal the difference in 1-0 victory

Habersham Central High School forward Addie Penick scored one of the best goals of the season Tuesday to give the Lady Raiders a 1-0 victory over region-foe Apalachee High School at Raider Stadium in Mt. Airy. “Addie had a world-class finish,” said coach Jeff LaBarbera.

The Habersham Central High School Diamond Raiders earned a split in a double-header against Chestatee High School Wednesday at Raider Park in Demorest, defeating the War Eagles 7-2 in the first game and falling 11-1 in the second game.
