Lady Indians take one out of three to open season

Tallulah Falls’ volleyball team played some tough opponents in the season-opening quad match on Tuesday at North Forsyth, winning one out of three matches. The Lady Indians (1-2) fell to powerhouse teams North Forsyth and Westminster, but got a win over a solid Dawson County team.

Lady Raider softball seeking first win

   Habersham Central's softball team fell 6-4 to Stephens County in Mt. Airy after press time Thursday.    The Lady Raiders dropped to 0-3. Read more in the midweek Aug. 16 edition of The Northeast Georgian.

Lady Raiders look to bounce back

   The Lady Raiders' volleyball team won two matches after press time Thursday in Toccoa against both Clarke Central and Stephens County.    Habersham swept Clarke Central 25-18, 25-19, then topped host Stephens 25-17, 25-14.    Read more in the Aug. 16 midweek edition of The Northeast Georgian.

Raiders speed past Vikings again

Habersham kicked off its 2023 campaign Friday evening with a 46-14 exhibition dismantling of East Hall at John Larry Black Field. Though quite warm at 7:30 kick time, it turned out to be a pleasant night in Mt. Airy once the sun dipped below the horizon.

Lady Raiders look to get off to a strong start

Habersham Central volleyball was back in action after press time Tuesday with its first official match of the season against Hart County. Last Thursday, the Lady Raiders picked up a solid exhibition win over Seckinger.

Lady Raiders open season against Hart County

   Habersham Central's volleyball team opened the regular season with a three-set loss to Hart County on Tuesday night.    The Lady Raiders lost a tough first set 28-26, then fell 25-22 and 25-13 to close out the match.

Raiders look inward as season dawns

Tonight’s scrimmage doesn’t count towards either team’s official record. It does, however, represent the end of a wait that seems longer each year.
