Lady Raiders battle as season heats up

   Habersham Central's softball team hosted a key game in region play Thursday against Apalachee, falling 11-0 to the first place team.    The Lady Raider volleyball team (14-9) went on the road for a non-region tri-match.

Lady Indians begin new winning streak

After ending one winning streak, Tallulah Falls’ volleyball team started another over the weekend and ran it to five games with a sweep of Highlands (N.C.) on Monday. After a 25-15 opening set, the Lady Indians repeated that dominance across the second set (25-16) and third (25-16).

Lady Raiders battling for playoff position

The Habersham Central volleyball team went 1-1 in their home region matches against fellow 8-6A opponents Jackson County and Gainesville on Thursday night. Jackson County (22-2, 4-2) was able to sweep the Lady Raiders in the first match of the night by set scores of 25-21 and 25-11.

Lady Raiders travel for major region showdowns

   Habersham Central's softball and volleyball teams had big games on the road Tuesday night.    The Lady Raider volleyball team had a huge night with two key regional wins over Gainesville (25-21, 15-25, 15-11) and Apalachee (25-13, 25-14).

No more lonely Knights

Habersham Central’s football team has had two weeks to feel good about its win over White County, but the next challenge has arrived, and this isn’t your older brother’s Central Gwinnett coming to town. The Raiders host the Black Knights at 7:30 p.m.

Killing a long two weeks ’till Friday night

Who wants to see a bye week after putting up 42 points? I sure didn’t, the coaches at Habersham Central didn’t and the Raiders didn’t. It seems like a million years since the White County game, as college football has played two full weeks since.

TFS volleyball wins fourth match in a row

It was perhaps the quickest tri-match of the season for the Lady Indians, who ran their win streak up to four matches with straight-set blankings of both Athens Christian and Elbert County. TFS, which came in ranked fourth in the state, cruised past both teams.

TFS runners compete at Flying Biscuit meet

Tallulah Falls’ top runner Miranda Chapa led the Lady Indians to a 15th place finish out of 21 scoring varsity teams at the Flying Biscuit Cafe meet at North Oconee on Sept. 1. Chapa placed 54th of 156 female harriers.
