Rising Tallulah Falls senior hones pitch skills in Germany

Jake Hall will be a newcomer to Tallulah Falls’ soccer team this year, and he is bringing some international experience with him. The senior transfer from Collins Hill High School played with Global Soccer Development in Germany this summer against some of the world’s top competitors.

Experienced Lady Raiders eye big goals

Habersham Central’s volleyball team is poised for another strong season coming off a playoff berth in 2021. The Lady Raiders – who finished 25-15 and third in the region last season – will be facing a new region that does not include Buford or Dacula. “There’s pros and cons to the whole thing.

Soque River Spurs set for banquet

The Soque River Spurs, the local chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, will hold its annual fundraising dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Community House in Cornelia. The event is in its ninth year and will feature dinner, auctions and raffles of outdoor merchandise.

Find some catfish this summer

Pickleball courts up and running in Clarkesville

A longtime dream of many local pickleballers came true Friday when the new outdoor courts in Clarkesville were played on for the first time.

Raider Soccer Academy had more than 100 participants from Habersham County and the surrounding area this week. The players moved from station to station throughout the day and got to try out all kinds of soccer skills.
