TFS cross country reloads after historic era ends

Tallulah Falls School’s cross country program turns the page from the Evan Prince era. Now at the U.S. Naval Academy, Prince was a two-time region champion, and holds the TFS record for best time in cross country meet.

Lady Raiders softball, volleyball face big challenges

   Habersham Central's volleyball team lost two tough region matches Tuesday night.    The Lady Raiders battled Jackson County, taking the first set but falling in a close third frame, 22-25, 25-22, 15-11. Against North Forsyth, the Lady Raiders fell in straight sets, 25-13, 25-16.

Lady Raiders look to bounce back

   Habersham Central's volleyball team bounced back with two wins Thursday night, knocking off Lumpkin County in three sets (25-19, 18-25, 15-4) and sweeping Commerce 25-4, 25-8. The Lady Raiders improved to 5-2 this season.

Lady Raiders get off to dominant 3-0 start

The Habersham Central varsity volleyball team held its first home matches of the season on Thursday, taking down Seckinger and Banks County in straight sets to stay unbeaten.

Softball tops White County for first win

Habersham Central’s softball earned its first win of the young season Thursday in a 5-3 triumph at White County. White County got two runs in the second inning for the early lead, but the Lady Raiders responded with three in the top of the third.

TFS girls split road matches

Tallulah Falls’ volleyball team played their second tri-match of the opening week, this time on the road against host school Hart County and Elbert County. After a three-set loss to Hart after taking a set lead, TFS rebounded with a convincing win over Elbert County to get back in the win column.

Hurricane swimmers blow through strong summer

The Hurricane Swim Team finished another successful summer season by qualifying for the state meet in Moultrie in July. The Hurricanes competed in both the GRPA District 7 Championships and the North Georgia Swim League Championships.

Lady Raiders look to keep rolling early

   Habersham Central's softball team dropped a tough 9-8 contest to Stephens County after a wild eighth inning that saw nine runs scored. The Lady Indians plated five in the top of the frame, and the Lady Raiders (1-2) nearly matched it with four of their own before falling just short.
