Baldwin teacher sets out to inspire Hispanic community

When she was a little girl growing up in Habersham County, Jobana Campos recalls noticing that there were not many teachers that looked like her and shared in her culture teaching at Baldwin Elementary.

New agriculture complex in full swing at North Ga. Tech

North Georgia Technical College recently celebrated the official grand opening of the Tommy and Bernice Irvin Aquaculture and Agricultural Mechanics Complex with a ribbon cutting led by Chris Irvin and family members representing the Thomas and Bernice Irvin Foundation.

Men’s Bible Study in Clarkesville: Clarkesville Baptist Church men’s Bible Study will be held twice monthly from noon to 1 p.m. in the Family Life Center. On June 28, the program will continue studying “The Mulligan,” The Parable of a Second Chance. All are invited.

Erwin fired up to play the Fourth

This year’s Glorious Fourth of July event in Demorest will be headlined by two well-known musical acts: Steve Bryson and Gregg Erwin. Erwin, who is originally from Habersham county, has played the event before. He describes his style as a “mix of outlaw country and southern rock.
