All on the same page – almost

Just like the recent Major League Baseball controversy, there were two options – come to a deal, or implement something no one wants. Unlike MLB and its bumbling attempts to agree, local political officials this week were able to settle their differences for the betterment of everyone.

Time to meet the wizard 

Demorest has had its share of clashes in 2020, with one party trying to get rid of the city attorney, and the other group trying to get rid of the city manager. Neither has been fired, nor have they resigned, leaving the conflicts at a stalemate for now.

We can do better

Habersham County we can do better. As of June 16, only 57% of our households have participated in the 2020 Census. Georgia, which ranks 36th in the nation of households participating in Census 2020, had 57.4% of households respond as of June 16.

Coming out of COVID-19
