Raiders dominate Alcovy, pull even in region play

Habersham Central cruised its way to an emphatic 52-17 romp of Alcovy Friday in Covington. "I'm proud of our guys and the focus they had tonight," HCHS Coach Benji Harrison said after the victory. "They were able to flip the switch and get the job done.

TFS middle school tennis wins another title

The MS Indians won their second straight Southern Mountain League Championship on Thursday, beating both Rabun County and Habersham to claim the top spot. The girls meanwhile lost to Habersham in the semifinals round.

Lady Raiders clinch spot in state tourney

The Habersham Central volleyball team bludgeoned its way into the state tournament bracket Wednesday with an emphatic straight set win over Clarke Central in the opening round of the Region 8-5A tourney. HCHS took the match 25-17, 25-4, 25-8.

Barrett, teammates get back to work in Anderson

Legendary Habersham hooper Kyia Barrett has only been on campus at Anderson University a few months. The freshman committed to play basketball for the Trojans last year, but didn’t start spending a ton of time at the school until this past summer.

Raiders fall at home to Clarke Central

The Habersham Central offense made its fair share of solid plays Friday night in Mount Airy. Ultimately, though, it was Clarke Central's offense - aided by a couple costly Raider turnovers - that proved the difference as the Gladiators topped HCHS, 42-28. "I was proud of our guys.

Zeke Whittington There’s never been a question about whether or not Whittington is one of the most dynamic playmakers on the team. And even though the Raiders wound up losing last week, Zeke played a major role in Habersham’s ability to keep pace on the scoreboard.

TFS girls win Unicoi XC meet

The Tallulah Falls middle school cross country teams competed in an extremely talented field at Unicoi State Park on Tuesday in the Mountain Invitational. In the Open Division, the Lady Indians placed first overall and the boys came in fourth.

Volleyball The Lady Raiders are down to their final four matches of the regular season, and all of them are pivotal. Habersham was in action against Apalachee and Jackson County Thursday night on the road with a chance to really shake things up in the Region 8-5A standings.

Tribe take region runner-up

The Lady Indians took a quick win over Lakeview on Tuesday night to advance to the Region 4-AAA Championship, where they fell in a three-set thriller to No. 4-ranked Loganville Christian. In the Lakeview match, TFS won 19-25, 25-11, 15-12. It took a big comeback for No.
