It was quickly apparent who the better team was Friday night at Loganville High School. Habersham Central (2-3, 1-0 Region 8-5A) put up 35 points in the first half en route to stomping the Red Devils, 56-21.

You can't beat college football

This college football season is off to a great start. Not for everybody, of course - we see you FSU and ND - but for fans of everything the game has to offer, we’re in a pretty good spot. When you wake up on Saturday mornings, all the elements are there.

Late stand powers Bears past Raiders

   Habersham Central outpaced Cherokee Bluff in several categories Friday in Mount Airy and even held a 10-point lead in the second half. But the Bears (4-0) scored the game’s final 17 points to pull off a 31-24 victory and remain perfect this season.

Lady Raiders win third straight

   For the first time in over two years, the Habersham Central softball team has won 3 straight games. The Lady Raiders (4-10, 2-3 Region 8-5A) took down Johns Creek 4-2 in Mount Airy over the weekend.    There’s no question HCHS got off to a rough start this season.

TFS softball picks up first wins in program history

   There’s no doubt this season has been full of growing pains for the Tallulah Falls softball team. It’s the program’s inaugural season at the varsity level and they entered Saturday with an 0-10 record.

Raiders look to pull level

   After pulling out a big win over rival White County, Habersham Central is back on its home turf this week looking for win number two. It won’t be easy, as the Raiders (1-2) welcome undefeated Cherokee Bluff to Mt. Airy Friday.    “They’ve got a really good football team.

Are you kidding me?

   This community simply doesn’t quit. Especially not when it comes to supporting its own.    Lets face it, two weeks into this season, the Raiders looked pitiful. Nobody would’ve blamed folks for tuning out a bit or throwing their hands up at the 2024 season altogether.

Lady Raiders back in the win column

   The Habersham Central volleyball team was back on its home court Tuesday to take on Rabun Gap-Nacoochee. In an up-and-down, 5-set thriller, the Lady Raiders prevailed 3-2.

Habersham hangs on for rivalry win

   Habersham Central returned home Friday with its back against the wall and desperately hoping to pick up its first win of the 2024 season. The Raiders (1-2) rose to the occasion to beat rival White County, 31-28.    “We needed this win really, really bad,” said HCHS Coach Benji Harrison.

Hab softball picks up another region win

   The Habersham Central softball team has not had an easy go of things so far this season. But Thursday night at home, the Diamond Lady Raiders (2-10, 2-5 Region 8-5A) picked up their second win in the new-look region by taking down Alcovy by a score of 5-3.
