Tribe, Bonitatibus think this could be the year

If ever there was a season to be excited about, it’s that of the 2025 Tallulah Falls Indians baseball team. TFS was featured on the 2025 Georgia Dugout Club cover, as senior Cole Bonitatibus stands front and center among several of the top players in the state.

Lady Raiders' huge comeback falls just short

In a game that was moved up 24 hours to avoid Friday's winter weather conditions, the Habersham Central girls basketball team took on Clarke Central in Athens Thursday.

World Heart Games coming to Habersham

The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) announced that it will hold its World Heart Games event in Habersham County this coming summer, on June 20-21.

'One of the good guys'

An extensive cast of family, friends and former teammates gathered in Johns Creek over the weekend to honor the life and legacy of Clifford Clay Kimsey III. Kimsey - who was known by all as “Bucky” - passed away on Dec. 29 following an extended illness.

Former Habersham Central basketball standout Malachi Dooley is in the midst of his junior year at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. As a Raider, Dooley earned All-Region first team honors four times, amassed more than 1,000 career points and was named one of the program’s permanent captains.

Black leaves ‘incredible’ lasting legacy

Habersham County is reeling from the loss of Coach Jimmy Black - a beloved member of the Habersham community and legendary figure of the county’s sports scene. Black passed away Sunday at the age of 85 following an extended illness.

Raiders top Warriors again

Back in November, the Habersham Central boys basketball team blasted rival White County at home. The margin was much slimmer when the two clubs met in Cleveland last Friday night, but the Raiders prevailed 78-65 to earn a season sweep of the Warriors.

Former Raider now fully vested with NFL

The Tennessee Titans fell 37-27 to the Cincinnati Bengals this past Sunday. But, for former Habersham Central football standout Mason Kinsey, it was still a monumental day.

Trinity's Ward inks with Truett

Trinity Classical School in Mt. Airy typically flies beneath the radar when it comes to athletics. Due to the school’s small class size and strong focus on faith-based academics, most would say TCS’ number one priority is providing students with a solid foundation for life - and that’s a good thing.
