Raiders finish as runners up

By Landen ToddThe Raiders did not disappoint at the Region Dual Tournament, finishing as runners-up at Habersham Central High School on Saturday, Jan. 10. They punched a ticket to the Sweet 16 in the State 5A Duals Wrestling Tournament in Douglasville on Jan. 15-16.

HCHS bounces back against the Wildcats

By Landen ToddLady Raiders basketball (7-7, 1-2) blew out Apalachee 72-48 and Raiders basketball (12-3, 2-1) edged Apalachee 57-47 at Habersham Central High School on Tuesday, Jan. 6. Both teams needed a bounce back after falling to Loganville last Saturday, Jan. 3.

Raiders dominate in McDonald’s Shootout opener

By Landen Todd The Habersham Central High School basketball boys team (9-2, 1-0) wrecked the Red Raiders 70-37 and the girls team (5-5, 0-1) fell 50-34 to the Warriors in the first round of the McDonald’s Shootout at Hart County High School on Saturday, Dec. 27.

Basketball Hall of Fame inducts two: Kevin Queen

By Landen Todd Northeast Georgia native Kevin Queen was inducted to Raider Basketball Hall of Fame and was celebrated through a ceremony on Friday evening, Dec. 19 at the Raider Gymnasium. Queen played three years as point guard, only missing his sophomore season due to injury.
