Raiders run at North Oconee Invitational

By Landen Todd The Habersham Central High School Cross Country team competed at the North Oconee Invitational 2025 on Saturday, Oct. 18. Habersham Central harrier Tessa Murdock (20:24.30) had the best placement on the day placing 25th.

Lady Raiders Sweet 16 bound

By Landen Todd The Lady Raiders took the first round in the GHSA 5A State Tournament to five sets to come on top against Effingham County (26-28, 16-25, 25-22, 25-15 and 15-13) at Effingham County High School on Wednesday, Oct. 15.

Lady Indians close season as State Runner-Up

The Tallulah Falls School Lady Indians volleyball team’s amazing run concluded in a GIAA State Championship match Saturday in Rome at Shorter University. No. 4-ranked Tallulah Falls School fought to the final point in a 3-1 final against No. 3 St. Anne Pacelli.

Raiders sail past Alcovy, 40-14

By Landen Todd Habersham Central High School’s football team continues to storm past every regional foe that comes its way, beating the Tigers 40-14 on Senior Night at Raider Stadium on Friday, Oct. 10.  HCHS Football Head Coach Benji Harrison’s goal this season has been going “1-0” each week.

Fields of Faith brings community

By Landen Todd Georgia Mountains Fellowship of Christian Athletes hosted its annual Fields of Faith at Raider Stadium on a sunny evening on Wednesday, Oct. 8. The event brought fellowship, worship, prayer and community. Field of Faith is an FCA event held across the United States.

Raiders conquer Clarke Central

By Landen Todd The Habersham Central High School football team continues to conquer its region foes, beating the reigning region champion Gladiators 43-22 at Billy Henderson Stadium on Friday, Oct. 3. The Raiders have won three straight regional matchups by scoring 35 points or more.
