Habersham Central plays home opener against Eagles

By Landen Todd Habersham Central girls basketball team dropped the first regular season game 60-44 against Athens Christian and the boys team won the second game of the season 66-54 against the Eagles at the Raider Gymnasium on Saturday, Nov. 15.

Raiders’ great quest comes to an end

Habersham Central basketball is back

Lady Indians make school history

Jackson County stuns Raiders

By Landen Todd A really tough Panthers team hit Habersham Central hard early for the region championship by dropping 29 points in the first quarter, two of those touchdowns being blocked punt returns. The 53-6 loss for the Raiders on Halloween at Panther Stadium places them second in Region 8-5A.

Lady Raiders shutout Apalachee for second time

By Landen Todd The Habersham Central High School flag football team dropped 33-0 to a really good Eagles team and bounced back 6-0 against the Wildcats at a packed Hilliard A. Wilbanks Middle School on Thursday, Oct. 23. The Lady Raiders are 2-2 and two wins are against Apalachee.

Weigh anchor, hoist the mizzen

By Landen Todd The Raiders are heading back on ship to face Apalachee at the Apalachee Wildcats Football Stadium this Friday after a restful bye week last week. Before the bye week, Habersham Central dominated the Tigers 40-14 on Oct. 10, making them 4-0 in region play.
