TFS’ Moree earns region player of the year honors in baseball

Seven Tallulah Falls players earned distinction as all Region 8-A DI players. Frankey Moree headlined the group, as he was named Region Player of the Year. Moree, a senior, was 1st Team All-Region, and he was joined by junior Rohajae Pinder.

Raiders set records in region track meet

Habersham Central Track & Field was back in Apalachee Tuesday for the final day of the region meet. The girls team finished third overall in the region while the boys finished fourth - each team’s highest finish in more than 15 years.

TFS track looks to sectionals

Tallulah Falls competed in Day Two of the Region 8-A DI Championships on Wednesday. After  seeing a pair of athletes claim individual region titles and several earning state sectional bids on  Tuesday, the team set out for more history in the final day of the meet.

The Habersham Central Track and Field team traveled to Apalachee Monday to compete in the first day of the region meet, and the Raiders came home with two region champions. Audrey Hotard won the title in the 1,600 meters, while Brad Chosewood took home regional crowns in shot put and discus.

TFS girls are ‘Elite’

The Tallulah Falls girls tennis team advanced to the Georgia High School Association Elite 8 for the first time in program history as the Lady Indians defeated Galloway Monday afternoon. The 3-1 victory over the visiting Lady Scots was powered by two exciting doubles wins.

Diamond Raiders bid farewell to 10 seniors

Senior night for Habersham Central Baseball featured an offensive shootout as the Raiders (14-16, 7-11 Region 8-6A) dropped their final game of the season to the visiting Lanier Longhorns, 15-9. It was an emotional evening at Raider Park as the program bid farewell to 10 seniors.

Moree sets all-time TFS hits record

On his senior night, Frankey Moree had 2 hits to become the all-time leader in TFS history in a  12-2 home win over West Oak on Monday night. Moree and fellow senior Davante Brown combined for 3 hits and 3 RBI, as the Indians overcame an early 2-run deficit to score 12  unanswered.

TFS track third at Stephens County Tallulah Falls’ varsity track teams went to Stephens County for a Monday meet. Both the boys and girls placed third among five schools. Sofia Rueda set a pair of personal records in the hurdle events, winning the 300 meter hurdles.
