Raiders’ soccer teams making playoff push

It may have been senior night for Shiloh on Friday, but it was Habersham Central’s own senior striker who kicked off the festivities in Snellville as the Lady Raiders took down the Generals 3-1.

Local hoopsters make all-state

A trio of area talent was named to Sandy’s Spiel All-State basketball teams this month. The lists, compiled by Georgia’s top voice on high school hoops, feature the GHSA’s top basketball players from all classifications.

Raiders’ track team sweeps

On Friday, Habersham Track hosted the 3rd annual Battle of the Blue Ridge Invitational. This meet brings a number of local teams together including Commerce, Hart County, Lumpkin County, Riverside Military Academy, Stephens County, Tallulah Falls, and Union County.

Ring of Honor inductees tapped for Class of 2023

Habersham Central’s football RIng of Honor will get five new members this year, including a longtime leader of the Band of Blue. Among Raider players, offensive playmakers Seanrick “Pudge” Trimiar and Bernard Trimiar were picked along with defensive stalwarts Matt Burrell and Chase Green.

Raiders blast Jaxco

Habersham Central’s road test at Jackson County turned into a hit show, as the Raiders trounced the Panthers 12-1 on Monday night. Habersham (11-6, 5-1 Region 8-6A) kicked off their barrage early as a Hunter Tatum base hit knocked in the game’s first run in the top of the first inning.

Lady Raiders tip Lanier, look toward first place

Two of the region’s highest scoring squads were stymied by wet conditions as Habersham Central girls soccer hosted the Lanier Longhorns Friday night in the rain.

Lady Raiders hit stride, eye region title

Habersham Central’s girls soccer team picked up their final non-region COPA 985 cup win over Flowery Branch on Tuesday, 4-1, for their fourth-straight win overall.

Raiders handle Shiloh

It was a cold, windy evening at Raider Park on Monday, but the bats were hot as Habersham Central mercy-ruled the Shiloh Generals 14-4 in five innings. The regional tilt didn’t get underway until after 7 p.m. due to travel delays.
