   Early voting in Habersham County began Tuesday, and combined with mail-in/absentee voting, thousands of votes already have been cast.    Folks were lined up early each morning this week to be among the first to cast their ballots in this historic election.

Massive rains stemming from offshoots of Hurricane Delta left many parts of Habersham County under water over the weekend and into Monday as emergency crews stretched their resources to assess the damage.

   Mt. Airy Town Manager and Police Chief Tim Jarrell informed the mayor and council of multiple ongoing SPLOST projects during their Monday night meeting.     The greatest expenditure is the road paving of 1.5 miles of Dicks Hill Parkway and a half-mile of the Russell Woods Subdivision.
