Deputies deserve better pay To the editor: I appreciate the recent article and editorial on the sheriff’s office staffing issues. Clearly, significant increases are needed in the pay scale for the sheriff’s office.

Time for old courthouse to go

We fully support Habersham County’s decision to make preparations for the demolition of the albatross that is the old courthouse in Clarkesville. Two buyers for the property have backed out in the last couple of years.
