Letter to the Editor

Thoughts on Ten Commandments To the editor: Why do you read letters to the editor, do they influence your thoughts on a given subject and how important are they?

Thanks to our teachers

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we want to add our gratitude for the women and men who teach our children every day. This year has been particularly challenging as we have faced down the pandemic and come out stronger.

The human condition To the editor: As a guy who loves to critique modern day television programming, I wish to offer two programs that, I believe, define the human condition. One is “America’s Funniest Home Videos.” This incredibly popular program has been on for 31 years.

Support small businesses

Recognizing their outstanding service, innovation, and development, Small Business Week celebrates entrepreneurs around the country. Small businesses account for half of America’s workforce, and more new jobs come from small businesses than any other source.

Beware what comes To the editor: After the last election, I had perversely assumed things were going to get better. I guess they are, but not nearly quickly enough! I failed to realize, that “After Trump” it was going to take a herculean effort to bring things back to normalcy!

Small price to pay for safety

Public safety is a top priority for every community, and $7,366,643 was budgeted this year to ensure our sheriff’s department and jail officers are equipped to do their jobs protecting us. But sometimes, it just is not enough.

The soundtrack of our lives

They say music is what feelings sound like, and that always made sense to me. Can anything evoke emotion better than the right song at the right moment? I have always been someone who is all over the place with my thoughts, feelings, likes and dislikes.
