   The Habersham Ninth Grade Academy and Partnership Habersham hosted an interactive career expo Tuesday with local business and industry for local freshmen.    This annual event, now in its sixth year is an excellent opportunity to build the future workforce of our community.

The first step toward an annual Irish wake

   It was like any other St. Patrick’s Day, except it wasn’t.    In past years, my family always wanted me around on March 17. We had a tradition of going to the Phillies game that day, and it is always the biggest event of the spring in Clearwater, Fla.

   I like to think I was a pretty good kid. I made good grades and didn’t really get into trouble, but there was one time … OK, two times, when I was the subject of a call to poison control, and the cause of panic for the adults around me.

   We have “smart” everything now. I have a smart TV. I have been experimenting with a smart watch, judgemental as it may be at times. They have smart wallets, which I thought about trying out to replace my George Costanza-style bursting leather back twister.

Say her name for the right reasons

   No matter what happened in Tuesday’s Georgia Presidential Primary, we are looking at an election rematch between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.    The groundwork for that has already been laid by both sides, as neither has any true challengers.
