Fix the post office   To the editor:    I sent this letter to Sen. Jon Ossoff about our problem with the postal service.    Three months ago, I put my payment for my post office box rental in the pre-addressed envelope and mailed in a local drop box.

My life story, one bobblehead at a time

   Many people know that I collect jerseys and sports memorabilia. I have enjoyed doing so and I love a lot of the pieces I have gathered over the years.    Until I have to move it all.    I loaded up my memorabilia into my Expedition about a month ago to travel to the new house.

   This is Teacher Appreciation Week, and it is hard to put into words how much we truly do appreciate those in our community who educate our children.    It is not just about the knowledge, the painstaking lesson planning or the drive to see their students succeed.

Bad policy for everyone   To the editor:    About four weeks ago at a fitness chain in Fairbanks, Alaska, of all places, a transgender man entered the women’s bathroom/shower room.

If not a chicken in every pot, how about some humor?

   Wouldn’t it be nice to enjoy a little humor in the current presidential campaigns? Nothing is funny about what’s going on.    Despite what you thought of John Kennedy, his politics or his extra-presidential activities, you have to admit he had a keen sense of humor.

And the children shall lead ...

   For examples of resilience and character, sometimes we need to look to the young people to show us the way.    This has been collectively one of the most – if not the most – successful sports spring in the history of Habersham County.

Can electric cars be made better?   To the editor:    Yes, in my opinion we can make them self-charging. My idea for this was in The Northeast Georgian Dec. 12, 2023. I have been trying to sell my idea to several electric car makers without any success.
