Too easily pleased

   I’ve never been one to lose myself in a book. I have certainly read books and, though less frequently, still do. Yet the urge to curl up with a thick stack of pages continues to elude me.    I’m not proud of it, by the way. Nearly every “successful” person reads books and does so regularly.

Doc Johnson wasn’t one to sit and take up space on Earth

   Doc Johnson croaked the other day.    I am not being disrespectful. That’s what Doc wanted in his obituary: He croaked.    Yes, that’s an unusual request, but Doc Johnson was an unusual guy. He was who he was.

Read between the lines

   There has been much debate across America in recent years about literature and what books are appropriate for whom. Georgia’s General Assembly is potentially entering the fray when it comes to the right to ban books from libraries.
