Be as open as possible

   Many times at a public meeting, taxpayers can get confused about what constitutes an executive session, meaning the members of a given board can speak in a closed meeting.

Best we can do   To the editor:    I’m always pleased when you print Dick Yarbrough’s articles as you did on Jan. 19. I too think voters should decide elections instead of Democrat loyalists trying to do so through court actions.

   Recently, I was leading a small group discussion at church, and we were reminiscing about past activities we enjoyed. One of these was Foyer groups – small, casual meetings over dinner at our homes.    I asked the group, “Those were really nice; anyone know why we stopped doing them?

THUMBS UP to Habersham Central’s basketball programs, which are having success this season.    The Raider boys knocked off Shiloh on Tuesday night, a previously undefeated team in the region that beat them on their floor earlier this season.
