Lady Raiders clamp down on defense for Bradley's 501st win

   Even without complete records handy, it is hard to believe that many of Coach Bill Bradley’s 501 wins included holding the opponent to 16 points.    “Very seldom for sure,” the Lady Raiders’ coach said after his team downed Lanier 26-16 on Friday night. “It’s definitely on the low end.

Habersham Middle School boys teams sweep titles

   On Monday night, Habersham County’s seventh and eighth grade boys basketball teams were crowned Northeast Georgia Independent Athletic Association (NEGIAA) champions, as the seventh grade team beat Franklin County and the eighth graders topped Madison County.

Habersham's 7th grade girls top Rabun County for title

   Habersham County’s seventh grade girls team capped off a nearly-perfect season last Saturday, as they took down Rabun County 31-25 to be crowned the Northeast Georgia Independent Athletic Association (NEGIAA) champions.

    When the buzzer sounded to seal Habersham Central’s 52-36 win over Central Gwinnett Tuesday night, it also gave Lady Raiders head coach Bill Bradley his 500th career victory.

   Tallulah Falls’ boys basketball team extended its win streak to nine games to take sole possession of first place in Region 8A private, as they slid past Athens Christian 42-36 Tuesday night.

Raider wrestlers take second in area duals

   Habersham Central’s wrestlers put on a show for the home crowd Saturday, pulling out two close matches by one point each and finishing second in the area duals meet.    “We were ecstatic about how the day went,” Raiders coach Morris Brooks said.

Tallulah Falls boys still unbeaten in region

   Tallulah Falls extended its win streak to a season-high eight games Friday night, as they took down George Walton Academy to remain unbeaten in regional play.     TFS started the game slowly, and they found themselves trailing the Bulldogs 17-10 at the end of the first quarter.
