Raiders hoops clashes with neighboring White County

As home debuts go, this one wasn’t bad. Mekhi Mawdesley – whose Twitter profile includes the moniker “Best Shooter in Georgia” – lived up to that billing with 36 points on incredible marksmanship to help the Raiders to a 69-59 win over Banks County on Friday night.

JV wrestlers shine

Indians sweep Stephens, eye White County next

Tallulah Falls’ boys basketball team is off to a strong start after a 58-49 win over Stephens County on Tuesday night in Toccoa. TFS juniors Anfernee Hanna dropped 20 points and Devonte Allen collected 19 for the Indians (2-0), who defeated their mascot brethren on their own floor.

TFS middle school hoops teams split with White Creek Christian

On Tuesday evening, Tallulah Falls played host to White Creek Christian. The Lady Indians middle school team, as well as the Indians B-Team, earned a split as the boys won and the girls fell in what marked their season-opener.

Wade picks Reinhardt for college softball

Habersham Central two-sport standout senior Taylor Wade officially committed to play softball at Reinhardt University earlier this week. “I went on a visit last week and it really felt like home,” Wade said.

Raiders look to rebound at home

In the first game of the 2021-22 season, the Habersham Central boys basketball team fell to Union County by a 58-50 score. “I was disappointed and our guys were disappointed with themselves in terms of how we played,” Raiders coach Aric Mawdesley said.
