Tuesday night football on the way

Forget about picking a president. For now, we would settle for just one precedent. They say that 2020 is the year of “unprecedented” things, and it would be nice to have something that feels just a little normal.

Appreciative of the Partnership To the editor: Habersham County schools are an excellent place to work.

Every day is Veterans Day

Today is Veterans Day. However, every day we should all be grateful for the service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans. On Nov. 11, 1919, President Woodrow Wilson declared the first Armistice Day, which later became known as Veterans Day. This is an excerpt from his remarks 101 years ago today.

Senior center operating safely and professionally To the editor: I normally just read the letters to the editor column in The Northeast Georgian, but last week there was a letter that really upset me.

STOP the political texts

As if this election could not get more frustrating, we have been inundated with political text messages pinging of our cell phones.

Voting is important every time

Habersham County, like most of America, is coming out in droves to vote in the general election. We have a potential record turnout building and it is only Oct. 23, with more than 30% of our registered voters here casting their ballots by the end of the first week of early voting.
