Time to save all the honey pots that we can

   When the deluge hit Habersham County on Sunday night, all I could think of was The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.    “The rain, rain, rain came down, down, down …” and so forth. Folks around my age probably remember this children’s classic.

Sometimes there are no words to say. This is one of those times for our editorial team at The Northeast Georgian. Tuesday morning, our newspaper staff learned that Matthew Osborne, our editor, had died. He was a dedicated family man and professional who loved and was shown love.

Fourteen years later, the mystery remains

Decision on presidential vote To the editor:    Please vote for Kamala Harris for president. Five people were killed on Jan. 6, which should be five counts of second degree manslaughter against Donald Trump. So it should be 39 felony counts, not 34.

   When taking a child or teenager fishing, there is one item more important than rods, reels or tackle – the snack bag. If you forget this key ingredient of a successful fishing trip, morale will quickly sink among your young crew.
